The Chatter Box

Would you talk like that to your best friend?

The Chatter Box

We all have a monkey mind that likes to hold us back. Yours may be extra negative or extra loud. Believe me, I’ve been there. But there’s hope.

Here’s one of my favorite quotes from the book Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi:

“How we feel about ourselves, the joy we get from living, ultimately depends directly on how the mind filters and interprets everyday experiences. Whether we are happy depends on inner harmony, not on the controls we are able to exert over the great forces of the universe.”

Feel free to read that again if you need to. Deep stuff, am I right?

Imagine what it would feel like if you looked in the mirror and liked what you saw. If your inner dialogue said nice things. How would your life change? What kind of impact will you make?

It may not seem possible, but you do have the power to control your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and ultimately your actions. Positive thinking is a skill that can be taught, learned, practiced, and mastered just like a sport, a new language, or an instrument. It may not be easy, but with practice, it is absolutely possible.

Hi, I’m Rachel.

In less than 2 years, I went from working a full-time job I wasn’t passionate about, being a part-time student, raising two young children, and struggling with postpartum depression to…

Quitting my full-time job, running my own business, making a bigger impact by helping more people, and easily bringing in over $12,500 a month while working less than I’ve ever worked and having way more fun in the process.

Since I started my career, I’ve helped thousands of women, business owners, and students save time, money, reduce their stress, achieve their goals and increase their happiness.

Because successful, happy people can make the world a better place.

Are you ready to make your dream life a reality?

Here are 5 action steps to get you started:

  1. This is simple, but it’s powerful. Try to focus on what you are grateful for every day. Extra points if you write it down in a journal.
  2. Start a daily meditation practice. Headspace is a great app to get you started with guided meditations.
  3. When you tell yourself something negative, try to look for evidence to prove that it’s not true.
  4. Share what’s going on in your head with a close and trusted friend and ask them to help you see your blind spots.
  5. Do something you love to do that makes you lose track of time. Most likely it will also clear your head.
